On Saturday, 27 February 2021, we held an event to create projects with local organizations, companies, educational institutions and others using the online conference system Zoom. Co-organized by Rissho University and Roundtable.com, supported by Shinagawa Ward.
The theme is “Let’s create a sustainable society together, Vol.3 – Sharing stories and building communities”. In order to achieve the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) set by the United Nations, the role of the community is very important, so let’s take action to revitalise our “town, people and work” by sharing our SDG stories! This was the event. In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, the event was held online for the first time. 66 participants, speakers and staff attended the event.
In addition to Professor Koji Ozawa (Faculty of Psychology) from Rissho University, who was speaking for the third time, Professor Shintaro Goto (Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences) also assisted us, as well as local supporters such as Children’s Dream Cafeteria “Danran”, Togoye no Kai, Monozukuri X Programming for Shinagawa, and Shinanen Holdings Co. Ltd, Toyo Seikan Group Holdings Co., Ltd, and Dai Nippon Printing Co. Ltd. as SDGs Promote Companies.
Round Table Com Inc., we aim to create an environment where children can experience the three steps of “knowing”, “thinking”, and “acting” by themselves, by connecting educational sites with local communities, companies, and local governments. We hope to continue our activities to create this kind of SDGs virtuous circle throughout Japan.
